PRINCIPAL OFFICER


Mindy Haas, Born and raised in New York, Mindy moved to Boca Raton, Florida in 1987 with her husband Russell (34 years). Both proud of the success of their children Skylar (28) living in Nashville, Tenn. as the Regional Program Director for BBYO, Inc. and Marissa (32) proud mom of Darby (12) and Xander (9) living in Charlotte, NC. Mindy has a bachelor’s degree in Education and Child Development from the State University at Oneonta, NY. Mindy came to Lexington from Raleigh, North Carolina. In Raleigh, she served as the Director of Operations at the Jewish Federation of Raleigh-Cary, after a successful 10 months as the Financial Resource Development Director. Having moved to Raleigh in 2016, Mindy was brought to the Jewish community through her role as the Senior Development Director at the March of Dimes and her years in the hospitality industry as the owner/operator of the Emenar Serving Company for 20 years in South Florida. Mindy continues to be an active volunteer in PTA for the past 28 years, currently serving on the National PTA Governance Committee. As a past State President for Florida PTA, today Mindy serves as a consultant and committee member on the Board of Directors. Mindy was selected as the Volunteer Coordinator for the 2011 National PTA Convention. She was honored as the first National PTA Advocate in 2015 and acknowledged with a National PTA Lifetime Achievement Award, just to mention a few! She also developed programs that address bullying and to help raise awareness of the Childhood Obesity Crisis. Her passion is building leaders and creating an inclusive environment for all. As a passionate leader Mindy also served as a board member of the KidSafe Foundation in Boca Raton, FL a nonprofit bringing awareness and keeping children safe from sexual abuse. Mindy is a lifelong martial artist. Along with her family, Haastyle Martial Arts Academy was born and follows them throughout their travels. Through the years Mindy has been invited to build leadership, assist in company growth and development in numerous for-profit companies. She loves a cup of coffee accompanied with a good conversation and is looking forward to meeting the members of the Jewish Federation of the Bluegrass community.
